AT the halfway stage in the York and District Summer Snooker Handicap League division one, sponsored by the Cueball Club, Ebor are in number one spot on 17 points with a 3-1 win in week five over Cueball Club and a 4-0 win over Yorks Finest in week seven.
Tramways are second on 16 points with a 3-1 win in week five against Groves and a 3-1 defeat by Railway Institute in week six which takes Institute into third place on 14 points.
In division two, sponsored by Around The Clock Glazing, Stonebow are top with 16 points after a good 3-1 win over Burton Lane in week six, although Glen Mountain knocked in a 46 break for his point for Burton Lane.
Week seven saw Stonebow get a four-point win over Castle 'B'.
Severus hold second place on 15 points with 3-1 wins in weeks seven and eight.
The next monthly handicapped knockout will be held on Wednesday, July 30 at 7.15pm at the Cueball Club, James Street, £5 entry fee open to players of all ages and abilities.
The next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 7.30pm start at the Cueball Club. Everyone is welcome to attend.
