PLAY time will never be the same again for children at a York school who are pictured here getting off the ground with their new climbing wall.
The wall at Park Grove Primary School was built as part of the renovation of the school's playground following the 1997 fire.
Staff talked to the children about what they wanted in the play ground and a number of ideas were put forward. The idea for the climbing wall came from head teacher Andrew Calverley, and was developed by staff, parents and pupils. Mr Calverley said: "The kids really love it. I have never seen children queue so quietly, even the little ones really enjoy it.
"I think they like getting off the ground and it is something primary school children do not usually have access to - it is quite unusual."
