Small business owners and managers in York can learn how to reduce and deal with absence and staff turnover at a workshop run by Business Link York and North Yorkshire tomorrow.

The Essential Guide to Reducing Absence and Staff Turnover workshop will be held at Arabesque House, York, between 9.30am and 12.30pm, and costs £50 plus VAT.

Topics to be covered include handling long-term sickness absence, managing persistent short-term absence, developing suitable policies and procedures for employees, understanding different forms of preventative advice and guidance, and learning new techniques of managing staff turnover.
