Lightning can strike for a second time in the same place tomorrow at Hamilton as B A Highflyer bids to follow-up his success at the corresponding meeting 12 months ago.

Odds-on winner of the opening maiden race last year, Mick Channon's sprinter this time goes for the Arthur Balding Showcase Handicap and has bright prospects in the hands of Tony Culhane.

Although he has yet to score this term, B A Highflyer has recently displayed signs of returning to form and, over a course and a distance that plainly suit him well, he is expected to make a bold bid in this six-furlongs dash.

The £17,500 Betfair.com Conditions Stakes takes pride of place as the richest race on the Hamilton programme, and Gala Sunday is taken to land the prize for Barry Hills and Richard Hughes.

A highly regarded colt, Gala Sunday has not quite come up to scratch this season but a six week break, plus a return to form of the Hills horses, are definite advantages in his armoury tomorrow.

Neckar Valley makes plenty of appeal in the Saffie Joseph & Son Handicap over one mile and three furlongs.

Formerly trained in Ireland by Dermot Weld, the four-year-old is now with Richard Fahey, and made a bright start to his British career when finishing fourth at Beverley last month.

With that race under his belt, and tomorrow's longer trip likely to suit him even better, Neckar Valley can be another winner for Paul Hanagan, who rode two winners at Beverley yesterday.

Several of the jockeys riding at Hamilton in the afternoon will then be travelling south for the evening meeting at Doncaster.

Among them will be George Duffield, who teams-up with Annabel Lee in the skybet.com Conditions Stakes.

Trained by Mark Johnston, Annabel Lee overcame inexperience to make a winning debut at Hamilton a couple of weeks ago.

Sure to be wiser this time, she can complete a double and is awarded my Nap vote.

Al Jadeed, a high class juvenile lasr season, should not be overlooked as he makes his belated return to action in the Sky Bet Conditions Stakes.

Tentative looks the most obvious winner of the Sasha Lyons Memorial Trophy. The two-year-old, trained by Roger Charlton, will be partnered by Richard Hughes.
