COOL customers have found the perfect way to make the most of the weather at a North Yorkshire swimming pool.
Swimmers at Helmsley's open air pool can now laze in the sun or splash around in the newly-refurbished facility.
The good weather looks set to continue - for people in the north of the country at least.
PA weather forecaster Lindsey Quarrie said: "It should stay sunny for the next couple of days with temperatures of up to 25C or 26C, although there may be early mist and fog."
Helmsley's pool is open from noon to 6.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 1pm to 5.15pm on Thursday and 10am to 6.45pm at the weekends. Children's fun sessions run from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Linton-On-Ouse was the hottest place in the York area yesterday with temperatures of 27C (81F).
"Thursday and Friday look more unsettled with showers and thunder expected," the spokesman said.
"But the weekend looks promising."
