A NORTH Yorkshire riding school is "jumping for joy" thanks to a second donation from a gas pipeline operator.
The Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group from Harrogate is to receive £1,900 from Transco as part of the company's new safety initiative.
The award-winning Safety Charity Challenge is a scheme where employees spot and reduce workplace hazards in return for cash donations to charities.
"The irony is we're receiving money through Transco's scheme for reducing risks when horse riding involves so many! "It's a brilliant idea and we are truly grateful for the donation," said Rosie Towers, the organisation's chairman.
Follifoot Park provides hired horses for riding and carriage driving therapy sessions each week for 80 riders with various disabilities.
"The money we receive from Transco will not be spent on anything specific, but we will use it to hire more horses to enable us to offer a bigger variety and cater for all our client needs," said Rosie.
Follifoot is one of five charities in Yorkshire which have been chosen by Transco employees to benefit from the money raised through the challenge.
