IT'S a dirty job but someone's got to do it.

Youngsters interested in a career in pig farming went on a week's "pig holiday" at Bishop Burton College, Beverley, to get a taste and smell of the industry.

The holiday aimed to show young people that working with pigs can be fun and rewarding and helped to dispel stereotypes of working on a farm.

"We've had a great week, with some really good students," said organiser Paul Rhodes. "They particularly enjoyed working down on the pig unit farrowing houses."
