A minute's silence was held before York City Knights' match against Keighley Cougars yesterday in respect of Robin Divorty, who died recently.

Mr Divorty, who was 59, was a well-respected character throughout rugby league in York and beyond, having been a player, committee man, coach and junior coach.

The record crowd at Huntington Stadium adhered to the silence impeccably.
