AN unbeaten century from former West Indies star Alvin Kallicharran helped Dunnington see off Scotland's finest and book their quarter-final place in the English Cricket Board National Club Knockout competition.
Set a competitive target of 219 by visiting Forfarshire, who play in the Scottish National League Premier Division, Dunnington's task was not made any easier by the loss of opening batsmen Hamid Khan to injury.
Khan injured his hand in the field, meaning Kallicharran, who 24 hours earlier had played for Dunnington's seconds in division four of the York and District League, was promoted up the order.
Skipper Simon Kellett made 48 before being dismissed but Kallicharran, aided by former Thirsk stroke-player Dave Greenlay, was the star of the show.
His knock of 107no enabled Dunnington to reach their target with the loss of just one wicket.
Dunnington have to still to learn who their opponents will be in the quarter-finals.
They will play either Kearsley, from the Bolton League, or Sandiacre Town, the Derbyshire Premier League champions.
