YORK City player-boss Chris Brass admitted to being 'humbled' after receiving a raucous reception from the Bootham Crescent at the club's open day.
Up to 4,000 fans are believed to have flocked to the day-long event, which saw the unveiling of the Minstermen's new Nike kit for the first time.
It also provided the City supporters with their first chance to salute Brass since his appointment to the Bootham Crescent hot-seat.
The City players, including new skipper Darren Edmondson and assistant player-boss Lee Nogan, were all cheered to the rafters as the squad ran out from the players' tunnel in the smart new strip.
But the biggest cheer was reserved for Brass.
"It was a great reception," he told the Evening Press.
"It is very humbling to know the supporters are right behind you from day one."
Of the new home kit, Brass said: "It was the first time we have really all seen it and you cannot be anything but impressed."
As well as seeing the new kit, fans were able to view the club's plans for Huntington Stadium, first published in the Evening Press on Friday.
Supporters were also able to enjoy a tour behind the scenes at Bootham Crescent and bid in a fundraising auction to play in an end of season game that could prove to be the club's last at their historic home.
