After the tribulations of being shot out for the season's lowest total of 21 last week, Dunnington's batsmen gave their best performance of the season when they cracked 222-7 against Huby.

Sixteen-year-old James Bolam continued his profitable run with his best league score of 92, while Gary Andrew seemed certain to add to his impressive list of centuries before a rush of blood saw him fall for 81. Alvin Kallicharran provided a cameo knock of 29 to ensure Dunnington's first full bag of batting points. Dan Grainger took 3-24 for Huby.

Steve Whittaker (4-82) helped reduce Huby to 114-6 despite 66 by Dave Patmore but Dunnington were unable to push on to their first win as Chris Cundall 41no marshalled his troops for Huby's honourable draw at 189-7.

Malton and Old Malton have opened up a commanding 43-point lead in division four after overwhelming Cawood.

Malton took full batting points when John Foxton made 73no, Shane Bonsor 37no and Dave Bradshaw 48 en route to 212-4. Cawood were then swept away to 77 all out by James Tildsley who took 4-29 and Bonsor, 3-14.

Acomb maintained their promotion titlt with the better of a draw with Sheriff Hutton who have dropped slightly off the pace.

For Acomb with Richard Clayton topscored on 56, followed by Scott Nicholls, 48. Nicholls continued his good work taking 3-6, but Tony Hull 29, Richard Armitage 31 and James Wilford 32 steered Sheriff to 165-8.

Whitkirk utilised the same track that had seen Dunnington disintegrate a week earlier at home to Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

Bridge skipper Dave Ellis cracked 103, while Steve Clipston's 29 helped the visitors reach 211-4.

The home batsmen also flourished as 15-year-old John Tate set the tone with 58. Stuart Pickles made 53 as Whitkirk replied with 176-3

Andrew Hall made 85 and Philip Hall 59 in a second wicket stand of 129 as Osbaldwick gained a morale boosting three-wicket win over Easingwold.
