FILM fans may get the chance to ride on the train made famous in the Harry Potter movies when steam journeys return to York.
The popular Scarborough Spa Express will run twice a day to and from the seaside resort to York starting tomorrow.
The service, operated by the West Coast Railway Company, gives passengers the chance to recreate the days when steam trains ruled the world.
One of the two locomotives which will be pulling carriages is the famed Hogwarts Castle, which was used on the North York Moors railway during filming of the first Harry Potter movie.
Services, which have limited availability, will run on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays with departures from Scarborough at 9.06am and 3.06pm and departing from York at 12.04pm and 6.03pm.
An adult return costs £15, and a single costs £7. A child single is £5, with a return weighing in at £10.
Passengers can buy a ticket at either Scarborough or York stations, or during a journey.
Meanwhile, a popular Sunday bus service to Thornton-le- Dale is set to step up a gear.
The Sunday Woldsbus service, which travels to and from Hull through the Wolds Way National Trail, will expand with a Tuesday bus starting on July 22.
Alan Staniforth, Special Projects Officer said: "The new service will run every Tuesday from July 22 to August 26, as well as on Bank Holiday Monday.
"The service offers a great opportunity for families to visit this quiet corner of Yorkshire."
A timetable can be obtained at libraries, shops or pubs or by phoning 01439 770657.
