IN-FORM Sewerby collected a maximum 30 points from their division two trip to Stillington, where a 137-run defeat left the home side adrift at the foot of the table by 68 points.
Chris Briggs with 80 and Steve Foster, who was 64no, ensured full batting points for Sewerby who were able to make 212-5.
Wayne Linton emerged with credit in taking 3-71 and then further enhanced his status by making 42 but he had scant support as Tahir Maqsood took 6-31 to dismiss Stillington for 75.
Two teams challenging for promotion met at Malton where the home side had by far the better of a draw with third-placed Bridlington, who failed to pick up the gauntlet set by the home side's total of 239-6.
Opener Neil Johnson made 64 but the powerhouse batting came from Dave Nankervis who reached three figures for the second time when he scored rapidly in the final 15 overs to make an unbeaten 102 in Malton's 239-6.
Tony Linsley followed with 3-37 but Bridlington opted for safety and, with Steve Garton making 60 and Richard Lount 41, moved to the close at 146-5.
Rowntree's skipper Paul Horner eased his side's relegation woes when his second seven-wicket haul of the season set up a seven-wicket win over fellow strugglers Castleford.
Ex-Selby man Eddie Rosa top-scored with 43 for the West Riding side with Andy Hursthouse chipping in with 29, but Horner's 7-61 had them struggling to 141-9.
Richard Tuite produced another of his emphatic innings which saw him remain unbeaten 14 runs short of his 11th century when victory was achieved. Sean Marshall 33 shared a century stand with Tuite.
Mick Kenyon gave another powerful display to help Dringhouses gain the better of a draw with Wilberfoss.
Kenyon hit 81 and Kev McGuinness 35 in Dringhouses' 177-7. Then the spinner came to the rescue after Ian Clish 48 and Geoff Room 67 had put 'Foss into pole position at 102-2. Kenyon's 4-32 regained control and restricted the visitors to 150-8.
