More bendy buses for York (Evening Press July 4). Has a survey ever been conducted to see if these buses are suitable for the narrow streets?
When a "Bendy" from Askham Bar to York approaches the Queen Street traffic lights it straddles the inside and middle lane so it can take the sharp turn into Queen Street taking up two lanes and causing tailbacks.
Can we presume that the new service from Rawcliffe Bar will do the same at the traffic lights Clifton into Water Lane and Water Lane into Leeman Road?
We now have an equation which reads, more bendy buses equals more passengers equals less cars equals more congestion.

....Spotted on a First bus variable sign... first message "Transforming Transport".
Second message: "Sorry I'm Not In Service"
Is this a new initiative by First to increase usage and, if so, how does it work? Or is it an unfortunate and innocent juxtaposition of two messages?
