ASHLEY King set Wheldrake a testing examination with a superb ten-wicket haul.
But despite his amazing effort for Woodhouse Grange 4ths, they still lost by 38 runs in division five of the Horwath Pulleyn-Heselton York Vale League.
King is only 18-years-old and has just finished at Fulford School after completing his 'A'-levels.
His slow in-swingers bowled out three Wheldrake batsman, had one trapped lbw and the rest caught.
He joked: "They were all caught off bad balls."
But he still had the drinks bought for him by his team-mates, even though they eventually slid to defeat.
The Elvington teenager has been at the club for six years, and his full-house haul comfortably beat his previous best effort of 6-18.
Currently languishing bottom of division five, Grange 4ths were today missing star man King as he was unavailable for the game at fourth-placed Copmanthorpe.
