TEAM Global Eagle, a group of Army air corps helicopter pilots, dropped into Oaklands School, York.
Later this year the team will be undertaking the first circumnavigation of the globe in an autogyro helicopter to raise funds for the Dyslexia Association.
Helicopter pilot Barry Jones, who is himself dyslexic, has been visiting schools around the country before the trip.
He visited Oaklands and talked to pupils about how the team would be going about the flight.
The school's four different year groups, from Year Seven to Year 10, each enjoyed a one-hour presentation by the team. At the end of the school day Barry and his team were special guests at the school's Dyslexia Club, to prove to the youngsters that dyslexia was no bar to success.
