Mark Johnston, with three winners - including Morson Boy at York - at three different meetings yesterday, can make a successful concentration of his efforts tomorrow.
The all-conquering Middleham trainer heads to Haydock and looks poised to complete a double with Fisio Therapy and My Daisychain.
The latter, a course winner earlier this summer, has since run well in defeat, not least on his last two outings when he has met trouble in running both times.
In his latest race at Epsom, Fisio Therapy was disadvantaged by a slow early pace and then met interference in the closing stages. In the circumstances, he fared creditably to finish third to Ayun.
On his previous outing, Fisio Therapy was beaten little more than a length into third by Castleshane, but was trapped on the inside rail for much of the closing stages and looked an unlucky loser.
Overdue a change of luck, the three-year-old can find opportunity knocking in the M.E.N. Sports Rated Handicap.
My Daisychain can also oblige for Johnston in the City Life Handicap.
The three-year-old had proved largely disappointing before gaining a narrow success at Beverley last week.
My Daisychain needed every yard of that ten furlongs to get on top and should appreciate the step-up to a mile-and-a-half tomorrow.
The feature event, the Manchester Evening News July Trophy has cut up to only three runners - not that John Gosden will be complaining.
The Newmarket trainer, fresh from his success in Thursday's July Cup with Oasis Dream, has yet to win a race this season with Summerland. But the three-year-old performed well at Royal Ascot to finish third to High Accolade in the King Edward V11 Stakes. This looks a perfect opportunity for him.
John Weymes has a decent sprinter on his hands in Brigadore, who commands respect in the opening Manchester Evening News Sport Handicap.
At Bath, Mick Quinn, the former professional footballer, now training in Lambourn, can score with Byo in the South West Children's Hospice Conditions Stakes.
A consistent sprinter and a previous winner over this course and distance, Byo has plenty going for him in this five-and-a-half furlongs dash.
Over the sticks at Stratford, a note should be made of Allude, who has strong hat-trick possibilities in the Richardsons Developments Handicap Hurdle.
