FORMER York City striker Keith Houchen recalled some of the highlights of his career when he spoke to schoolchildren.
Houchen, who scored the dramatic late penalty which brought City a famous FA Cup victory over Arsenal in 1984-85, was guest speaker at a sports presentation evening held by Forest of Galtres Primary School, Shipton-by-Beningbrough.
He told the pupils about his achievements and experiences as a professional footballer.
The magic of the Cup followed Houchen during his spell with Coventry City, when he scored four goals for the Sky Blues on their way to the 1987 final.
In the final, Keith proved himself once again the man for the big occasion when he scored a magnificent diving header in Coventry's 3-2 win over Spurs.
The goal was recently voted the seventh-best goal ever witnessed under Wembley's twin towers.
He later moved to Hibernian, sampling European football in the UEFA Cup in 1989-90, and later became manager of Hartlepool United.
Football coach Mark Cromack, who had worked with children at weekends, returned to present the awards. The school celebrated success in football and netball, and every child who attended the after-school sports club received a certificate.
