RYEDALE School have been crowned the under-15 Scarborough district cricket champions.
They beat Graham School by 38 runs at North Marine Road, Scarborough.
Ryedale skipper Mark Hayton won the toss and elected to bat and, although Jeremy Beadle took a couple of quick wickets, the Nawton-based school managed to put together 95 thanks to a solid middle order partnership between Ashley Windress (25) and Mark Hayton (24). Sean Walker contributed 21.
Scarborough-based Graham struggled against tight Ryedale bowling with Sam Ford and Rob Harding taking two wickets each.
Aaran Rivis starred in the field, taking a catch and running out one of the Graham batsmen.
Once Windress had removed Graham's top batsman, Beadle, for 27 with a great catch, Graham collapsed to 57 all out.
