SCHOOL children are joining forces with a York choir to say goodbye to their music teacher.
Year 5 and 6 pupils at Hempland Primary School, Stockton Lane, will take part in a concert to mark the retirement of school music teacher Allan Wilkinson.
Also performing will be the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir, of which Mr Wilkinson is a member.
Head teacher Kay Ledger said after 19 years at the school, Mr Wilkinson will be missed "not only because of his involvement with music, but also because he's been involved with a lot of residentials.
"We wish him well."
The concert will be held tonight, at 7.30pm, at Hempland Primary School.
Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased by phoning the school on 01904 421065.
