STAGE stars soon to perform at York Theatre Royal have helped to raise money for the city's St Helen's Community Rehabilitation Unit for the Elderly, in York.
The stars of Amadeus visited staff and patients at the unit on Monday, to present a raffle prize of a family ticket to see the show, which explores the life of Mozart.
Cast members are pictured, left, being presented with a bowl of strawberries and cream to give them a taste of what will be on offer at the unit's Strawberry Fayre, tomorrow.
Visitors can enjoy strawberries and cream, a raffle, refreshments, cakes, tombola, bric-a-brac and books, at the unit, in Nelson Lane, off Tadcaster Road, between 2pm and 4pm. Funds raised will help the NHS unit provide extras for the patients, such as day trips to Scarborough and shopping centres.
