Scarborough are poised to sign 24-year-old striker Mark Quayle from Nuneaton.
Quayle, who started his career with Everton before moving on to Notts County found his shooting boots in the Conference with spells at Morecambe, Telford and relegated Nuneaton -scoring goals at each club.
Boro boss Russ Slade said: "He is the sort of proven 20 goals a season man that I am looking for.
Mark is due at the club today and I hope that we can come to a quick agreement regarding his personal terms."
