FUNDRAISERS turned out in force to help a Pickering-based charity gather some cash.
Staff and supporters from the Wilf Ward Family Trust took over empty premises in Middleton, outside the town, turning them into a charity shop.
Chris Wright, manager of the trust's respite centre, said: "It was another really good year and we'd like to thank everyone who donated items or came along to buy something.
"You're never quite sure how these things will work, but there was a queue of people waiting for the doors to open on the Monday. It was a fantastic boost for us."
The charity shop venture raised about £750.
Chris said: "We are now gearing up for the highlight of the Isabella Court year when we hold our annual summer fair on Sunday, July 20.
The event, which will start at 2pm at the Westgate centre, will be opened by Pickering Mayor Coun Judy Dixon.
