YORK City player-coach Chris Brass confirmed trialists Andy Turner and Phil Straker will not be offered contracts at Bootham Crescent.
Ex-Tottenham striker Turner and former Sunderland shot-stopper Straker only joined the club on trial on Monday but Brass said they were not up to the required standard.
Former Luton striker Liam George was expected to start training with City today alongside other trialists Gareth Evans, Danny Stone, Steve Croudson, Aaron Wilford, Carl Heiniger, Darren Dunning and Andrew Jordan.
