A DRUNKEN outburst against his friends outside his North Yorkshire home put a Knaresborough man behind bars for nine weeks, York Crown Court heard.
Simon Hickey, prosecuting, said that Louis Watson, 24, of Windsor Lane, waved a kitchen knife at a girl he knew. He was angry with a comment made by a male friend about some photographs at the end of a lengthy pub crawl, which began at 11am on December 3.
At the time, Watson was on parole from a two-year prison sentence imposed at the Old Bailey for arson.
Judge John Bullimore said that he had already suffered sufficient punishment for these actions.
As a result of the incident, the parole board sent him back to jail to serve nine more weeks of the sentence.
The judge ordered Watson to do 12 months' community rehabilitation.
Watson pleaded guilty to a public order offence and to carrying a knife in public.
He did not give any mitigation.
