York Acorn's Andy Hilton took advantage of the absence of series leader Campbell Brooks (Knavesmire) to win the fourth race in the Sweatshop York and District Road Race League.
He finished 15 seconds ahead of team-mate Hywel Care with Knavesmire's Ian Anderson third.
The women's race saw the club positions reversed with Knavesmire Harriers take the top-two positions in the shape of Lisa Guscott-Trout and Rebecca Weekes with Acorn's Lara Gibbs third.
The men's team competition was dominated by York Acorn with their 'A' and 'B' teams taking first and second ahead of third placed Knavesmire Harriers 'A' team.
Acorn's ability to get their best runners out was illustrated by the fact that they had 16 runners home before Knavesmire's sixth and final counter.
The women's team race was much closer with Knavesmire 'A' (20 points) winning by just one point from York Acorn 'A' and York Acorn 'B' third (62 points).
The fifth and final race is organised by Selby Striders and starts from Wistow at 7.30pm on Tuesday.
