A FAMILY learning centre has been launched at a York school - with the help of Melody Monkey's Marvellous Music Box.
The centre at Westfield Primary School was opened by York's director of education, Patrick Scott, on Friday.
The centre offers courses to promote family learning and was opened as a result of a partnership between the City of York Council's family learning service, Westfield School, and the Learning and Skills Council.
Family learning co-ordinator Lorna Batten said: "This is a wonderful new resource that will be a real asset to the service and parents in the area.
"We are really excited to have this opportunity to work closely with Westfield School."
For information about the course phone Sam Penn on 07796 351457 or Louise Kadri on 01904 554292.
