Tim Henman has won through to the quarter finals at Wimbledon after a nervy win over last year's beaten finalist, David Nalbandian.
The British number one, who has carried the nation's tennis expectations in reaching the final eight at SW19 on seven occassions, lost his serve five times before overcoming Nalbandian.
The Argentine was not at his best, but still pushed Henman to four sets, before the Briton prevailed 6-2 6-7 (7/4) 7-5 6-3.
Henman, the tenth seed, will now face the winner of the match between Juan Carlos Ferroro and Sebastien Grosjean, which was suspended until this morning because of bad light.
In other matches, the men's second seed Andre Agassi lost a five set thriller to the big-serving Australian Mark Philippoussis.
