York kick-boxer Richard Cadden is back with a bang.
The 26-year-old made a successful return to action after being out since February with a dislocated knee cap.
Cadden, who fights out of the Bad Company gym in York Road, Leeds, was not expected to be back in the ring for a couple of weeks.
But when the chance came to fight Manchester's Steve Donnelly in a quickly arranged bout at Middleton Civic Centre, Cadden took the opportunity.
He won on points after five two-minute rounds in a fight matched at 65 kilos, a weight heavier than Cadden's usual fights.
"It was good for me to fight a heavier opponent. I was pleased with the way things went," he said.
Cadden, of Beckfield Lane, Acomb, faces a much stiffer test at Leeds City Hall in October when he tackles Matthew Johnson, who is seventh in the world rankings.
