I AM not in the habit of writing to letters pages. However, I feel compelled to share one of the funniest and best evening's entertainment I have had for years.
My husband, my ten-year-old daughter and I laughed the whole evening.
Augustus Carp by The Riding Lights Theatre was so funny and brilliantly staged and acted, it put to shame the last West End play I saw.
Yet I was disappointed to find the auditorium only two thirds full. Come on people, you missed a treat.

...FOR once - a play that was funny without any vulgarity! A good piece of entertainment was to be seen at York Theatre Royal. If you missed Neville's Island, you missed a treat.

Elmpark, York.
