YORK CITY fans have gone through a lot over the past few years, and now a group of supporters have walked through fire for their club.
Bootham Crescent was the scene of a fundraising firewalk on Saturday when fans walked on hot coals to raise much-needed funds for City.
The day, organised by Yorkshire-based events company Exclusive Events, included training from a highly-experienced firewalker, refreshments and insurance.
Exclusive Events chief executive Fiona Sidwell said: "As a York company, we are keen to help our local football club and this event raised much-needed funds for the coming season in an original way."
