PANTO dame Berwick Kaler made sure the Evening Press Family Leisure Exhibition got off to a flying start.
Visitors to the exhibition, held at the Merchant Adventurers' Hall, in York, yesterday, not only got to meet the panto star, but they learned how to make the most of this summer.
As well as stalls, designed to help families plan their leisure time, there was live music, refreshments and competitions to entertain the crowds.
The first 50 visitors received a goody bag, containing half-price family tickets to Lightwater Valley, which sponsored the free exhibition; baseball caps, disposable cameras, and a family day pass to Freeport Hornsea.
