CHAMPION charity worker Margaret Dibb has been awarded a medal of honour by York Rotary Club.
The Paul Harris Fellowship award is given only to individuals who have given exceptional service to the community. This honour was created in honour of Paul Harris, who founded the Rotary Club at the beginning of the last century. Mrs Dibb has been running the charity Riding for the Disabled at Sandfield Farm near Beningbrough for 30 years.
Frank Paterson, President of York Rotary Club, said: "It's quite amazing to see the reaction of these children when they get on a horse, it's quite moving, actually. The award is quite an honour and she is someone who has given a lot of service and has certainly earned it."
