YORK City Knights scrum-half Danny Brough has been named the National League Two player of the month for June.
The awards, run in trade magazine Rugby League World, also sees three other Knights players picked for the divisional team of the month, namely full-back Chris Smith, hooker Lee Jackson and centre Neil Law.
Winger Alex Godfrey also made the shortlist but just missed out on the team when voted third best winger.
Knights chief executive Steve Ferres was pleased for those picked and happy the club has received such recognition, but he was equally disappointed that stand-off Scott Rhodes was not included.
"I'm delighted for Danny and for the other players in the form team but I'm disappointed that somebody has been walking about with a sack on their head as regards Scott Rhodes," said Ferres.
"I'm disappointed he has not got any accolades. He wasn't even picked in the top three stand-offs but I would be very surprised if there was one who has played as consistently well as he has over the last month."
The accolades come at the end of a month in which the Knights have won every game.
The full team: 1 Chris Smith (Knights), 2 Tony Weller (Sheffield), 3 Tom O'Reilly (Eagles), 4 Neil Law (Knights), 5 Eric Andrews (Chorley), 6 Tane Manihera (Barrow), 7 Danny Brough (Knights) 8 Jon Bruce (Sheffield), 9 Lee Jackson (Knights), 10 Simon Knox (Swinton), 11 Rupert Jonker (Skolars), 12 Gareth Dean (Workington), 13 Jason Ramshaw (Keighley).
