Ryedale-based jockey Robert Winston has been suspended for ten days for dangerous riding on Seafield Towers at Carlisle yesterday following an incident which resulted in Ted Durcan taking a heavy fall.
Durcan was unshipped when Count Cougar stumbled a furlong and a half out in the last race. The jockey's left wrist started to swell and he went to hospital. The stewards decided that Seafield Towers had interfered with Count Cougar. The ban starts on July 5.
