Paul Cooper's splendid 17 darts inspired Bay Horse 'A' to a 6-3 victory over Pack in York Phoenix Open League division one, writes Dave Fotheringham.
Pack battled well to level the singles but Bay knuckled down to take all the pairs.
A 20-darter from Slipper's Russ Turpin was bettered by 19 from Mount's Mark Thornton and Slipper had few answers to Mount's finishing as they collected the pairs.
Volunteer were 3-1 down to Cygnet but rallied to win 6-3, Paul Botterill notching a maximum.
Leeman had Mark Thompson-Harry Stirk as match clinchers to go top of division two. Crescent's Mal Muncaster hit the tons.
Paul Shaw levelled the singles before he and Barry Dick settled the win for Cranes against Huntington 'A', and Frank Cartin scored well to secure the extra point.
Clarence recorded their first win of the season with a narrow last-game victory at Hospital Social Club. Rich Lee-Leo Good sealed the match and a 180 from Phil Richards helped make sure of the aggregate.
Huntington 'B' took all the singles against Yearsley.
In division three, Bernie Smith closed in 20 darts as Crescent 'B' beat Bishopthorpe, who had Jill Chapman in good form, 6-3.
Chris Horsman-Elsie Blackburn steered Indoor Bowls to victory at Falcon, while Burton took the first five and beat Mount 'B' 7-2.
