DRIVERS at strike-threatened York bus company First are considering a new offer from management.
Bosses at the James Street firm have handed a revised offer to representatives of the Transport and General Workers Union (TGWU) following a meeting earlier this week.
Union members will now consider the offer before it is put to a new ballot of staff in the near future.
Peter Edwards, First commercial manager, said the two groups had participated in "meaningful discussions".
"We have tabled an improved offer," he said. "It is now with the trade union for their consideration and they will be balloting on it in due course."
