Ron and Joan Hawkes were today celebrating 60 years of wedded bliss today.
The pair are pictured on their wedding day at St George's Church, York, in 1943.
Joan worked at Terry's chocolate factory and Ron was a railway worker.
They lived in York for 13 years before retiring to Cornwall.
