STUDENTS from a York school put a magistrate and MEP into the hot seat and quizzed them about topical issues including the euro.
Magistrate Tessa Shaw and MEP Diana Wallis visited Huntington School for a citizenship day. More than 200 Year Ten pupils asked questions such as what issues took priority in the European Union and quizzed them about what they thought of the euro.
Former pupils Chris Hogg and Sian Bevan also visited the school to talk about their experiences during gap years abroad.
Ian Price, spokesman for the school, said the aim of the day was to introduce and develop the pupils' knowledge of aspects of citizenship.
