IT would be fabulous if City of York Council made the horsedrawn carriage owners fit "nappies" on their animals to stop the horrible horse dung being left on the streets and roads of this beautiful city. ('York carriage horses may get 'nappies', June 20)
My husband and I have often heard comments from tourists about "horse muck" being left on the roads and streets inside the city walls, where it is pedestrianised. It smells.
If Europe can manage to get rid of this menace why can't York carriage owners do the same? Maybe gardeners in York could buy the horse dung for their gardens.
