ANTIQUES restored by students at York College will go on sale as part of a community fun day next week.
The day will include an end-of-year college sale, with various departments including fashion and woodwork selling goods.
The main attraction will be an auction of antique furniture which can be viewed from 10am on the day.
John Apps, the antique furniture restoration tutor at the college, will be auctioning 20 lots, including four ribbon-back Chippendale-style chairs, a stripped pine sideboard, writing boxes, chairs and a mahogany table in Georgian style.
There will also be an antique furniture exhibition of student's work in Ashfield House which is next to the main event.
Also on offer will be ornate stone artefacts, joinery tools, books and clothes.
