Leaders Fulford lost both their last matches to Riccall and Wilberfoss, who join the promotion quest. Riccall's Sue Warren and Mark Harris were unbeaten in the 60-48 win against Fulford.

Chris Oldfield and Mark Tebbutt won their last rubber 11-1 to seal the points for Wilberfoss.

Copmanthorpe beat Wilberfoss 59-49 but then lost to Wigginton, despite the best efforts of Karen Hornby and Graeme Butcher.

York start the second half of the season as leaders of division one after beating last year's champions Poppleton 73-35.

Dunnington moved into second spot after their 62-46 win at Civil Service thanks to top scorers Sue Sumner and Trevor Loten.

Wigginton pulled out of the relegation area with a victory at Tadcaster led by Danni Baker and Phil Langley, who won 26 games.

York and Fulford have opened up a four-point gap at the top of division two. York beat Rowntree Park in a close encounter.

Di and Richard Ekers dropped only three games in Fulford's 89-19 mauling of Bubwith and were also in prime form in the 82-26 victory against Civil Service.

Dunnington eased away from the relegation area by beating Civil Service 91-17 with all three couples winning 30 games.

Appleton Roebuck climbed into third place after their victory against Sutton on Derwent. Judy Marriott and Adrian Shakeshaft were unbeaten for Appleton with John Giles making a winning debut with partner Amber Hickman.

Appleton Roebuck also beat Cliffe 62-46 with Chris Howat and Mike Hickman unbeaten.

York, Castlegarth and Appleton Roebuck are separated by games difference in division seven with all teams winning last week.

Danni Courtine and Peter Finlay were unbeaten in York's 62-46 win at New Earswick with Rosemary Littlefair and Roger Burton winning 27 games in their 74-34 victory at Bishopthorpe.

Appleton Roebuck's Anthea Brogden and Peter Ziegler won 33 games in their win at Strensall.

Alison Cooper and Doug Crawford just outscored team-mates Jill Hudson and Kevin Duckenfield as Castlegarth maintained their lead with a 77-31 win at Rufforth.

Denise Neary and Keith Brown led unbeaten Escrick to a 80-28 win at Tollerton in division ten. Wistow improved their promotion prospects with a close win against Wilberfoss thanks to unbeaten Pam Huggins and Bish Forrest.

Stamford Bridge are second in division eleven after their win at Appleton Roebuck, Jane Boddy and Tim Hunt winning all three rubbers.

Next Generation continued their domination with another win against New Earswick in a match with family connections on both sides of the net. Brother and sister Chantel Lancaster and Damon Deamer with partners Ian Sadler and Tricia Telfer both scored 31 games with mother Marianne Deamer playing for New Earswick.
