VISITORS to Pocklington were surprised to see the town clock without its four famous blue faces.
The four clockfaces on the tower of All Saints' Church, were taken down a week ago to be restored.
Staff from the Cumbria Clock Company were lowered from the parapet on ropes to remove the clock.
The clockfaces measure 7ft 8in across and the minute pointers are 4ft long.
The faces will be put back in about six weeks' time.
