TOCKWITH Juniors FC has been awarded the FA Charter Standard Award.
The club have now become a nationally recognised junior football club by the Football Association and have been rewarded for their ongoing success at grassroots level.
The programme, supported by the FA's Community Sponsor McDonalds, was launched in February 2001, with the aim of setting standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people. The initiative is aimed at boys and girls aged under 16.
Having achieved the FA Charter Standard, the club retain their status for the next three years, providing the qualification criteria is still met, and they will gain access to a range of benefits including kit and equipment grants, exclusive regional workshops and subsidies for FA coaching courses and tickets for international matches.
