CAMERON Brooks (Knavesmire Harriers) completed a hat-trick by winning the third race of the York and District Road Race League, based at Easingwold.
He conquered the severity of the climb into Crayke on a testing, undulating, route which caught out several of the 188 finishers.
Brooks' winning time of 33 minutes and 15 seconds is the fastest time of this year's series and brought him home a full minute ahead of second place man Andy Hilton (York Acorn).
Knavesmire's versatile distance runner Ian Anderson finished in third spot on 34-37.
In the women's, Lisa Guscott-Trout (Knavesmire Harriers) returned to the fray to win and was 17th overall in a time of 38-15s - again the fastest time of this year's series.
Fellow Harrier Rebecca Weekes finished second in 40-33, followed by Acorn's amazing veteran Dawn Gibbs in 41-09, a time that was more than six minutes ahead of the next woman in the Over-35 discipline.
York Acorn again managed to win both men and women's team competitions.
However, Knavesmire men's team ran them close, being just four points behind with 55 points to Acorn's 51 points.
The women's team event was nearly as close, Acorn scoring 22 points to Knavesmire's 28 points. The top six counted in the men's event and the top four in the women's race.
The next race is at Bishop Wilton on Tuesday, June 24 (7.30pm).
It is being organised by Knavesmire Harriers and incorporates the arduous ascent from the village to the top of Garrowby Hill.
