THE Archbishop of York, Dr David Hope, opened a special craft exhibition on embroidery at his home.
It's A Stitch Up, at Bishopthorpe Palace, features historic and traditional embroidery techniques and work by the City of York branch of the Embroiderers' Guild.
It is open to the public until 5pm today and from 10am to 4pm tomorrow.
The exhibition includes a display of goldwork by members of the York Guild and work by the Young Embroiderers' Guild (YEG).
Visitors also have the chance to buy specialist materials at various stalls.
This is the third time the guild has held the event at Bishopthorpe Palace.
There is an admission charge of £5 each, which includes freedom to roam the grounds of the palace.
