THE motorcyclist killed in an accident on the B1363 York to Helmsley road, near Brandsby, has been named as the Rev Ian Currie, an assistant minister at a Middlesbrough church.
Mr Currie, 56, was returning home from a York Diocesan conference in Derbyshire when the accident, involving a Toyota Carina, happened on Thursday, said a spokesman for the York Diocese.
He leaves a widow and two grown-up sons.
Police have said the collision occurred after the motorbike went out of control on a bend.
