THE York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir swept the board in a prestigious choir contest.
The successful singers competed in the Eskdale Festival, at Whitby Pavilion, and scooped first prize in the Sacred Music Class, the Male Voice Choir Class and the Recital Class.
Neil Wood, choir stage manager and baritone singer, said: "It all came right on the day.
"A lot of work has been put in by the chaps this year, it has been a busy one, and the day itself was especially busy, but the performance came up to the right level.
"The atmosphere on the way home was electric, everyone was buzzing."
Members of the choir are preparing for a concert at the Central Methodist Church, in St Saviourgate, York, on Saturday, July 5.
Berenice Lewis, the choir's musical director, is pictured clutching the three trophies watched by members of the choir.
