WE are naturally delighted that the Evening Press was named Daily Newspaper of the Year at the Newsquest awards.
The honour was particularly pleasing because it made special mention of our role as the community's newspaper.
Judges said the Evening Press "bears the hallmarks of a newspaper that gets involved". That recognises our ambition to do much more than merely report on the latest happenings. We aim to be an active and positive influence, doing all we can to bring about the changes that matter to you.
Readers shape this newspaper every day. Our voice is your voice. If there is a secret to the Evening Press's success, that is it.
