POCKLINGTON businesses and local residents are invited to find out about broadband at a special exhibition.
The Pocklington and Wolds Gateway Project, a partnership of local residents, businesses and councillors, campaigned for six months to bring broadband, which allows computer users to use the telephone while surfing the net, to the town. BT will begin installing the high-speed internet service in Pocklington on August 6.
To prepare the town for broadband, the partnership is hosting an event on Saturday, June 28, between 10.30am and 2.30pm, at Woldgate School, Pocklington. Residents and businesses can meet people with experience of broadband and watch demonstrations about the service.
